I was trying to use my RF-602's on the 1d classic and. I was using a Yonugo 460 flash off camera obviously.

When the trigger was connected to the camera body, I was able to fire the flash using the button on the trigger. But when I was trying to fire the flash when using the camera, it would not fire.

I put the trigger on my 20d and it worked fine. I am going through the manual now doing some reading, but I was wondering if I was missing something in the camera settings on the 1d that would cause the trigger to not fire the flash.

Thanks

Scott

As far as I can remember you can't disable the flash shoe, but i've often read that the shoe gets loose. It could be a bad contact between the shoe and the underlying circuit. Is it loose on your 1D?
If it is it's a simple fix.

I'll have to check the flash show. I guess I can try putting a flash on the camera as well to check it out. I'll let you know.

Is this it?

I would NOT use the LocTite as suggested in this link:

Enjoy! Lon

Yep, that's the fix. Like Lon said, don't use Loctite.

I will double check everything tonight. I am guessing that this will work with the 1d as well as a 20d. Does not look too difficult.
If I need to do anything, I will not be using anything like locktite to keep the screws tight.
Thanks
Scott

It's not a loose anything. Everything is nice and snug. No play at all.
