I just bought a yongnuo trigger and 2 receivers for my 7D.
If I push the button on top of the 602TX the flash unit will flash but when I push the shutter button on the camera it don't work.

I can not setup the menu because it tells me I have a non compatible flash on my camera.

Is the 602TX trigger defective

I'm almost sure that Yongnuo transmitters are different for Canon and Nikon be sure you got the correct one.

I ordered one for a Canon but I'm wondering if this one is for a Nikon because he sold both.
I can not contact the seller I bought through Amazon and they are telling me to send it back and order another one.

I guess I will try another one if it works I won't know if I had a bad one or the wrong one but if it works that is all I really care about.

Amazon sent me a shipping label to print they are paying for the return shipping

The G series must be in single shot mode for the wireless trigger to work. Go to the function settings and change to single shot mode.

I don't have a G series I have a new 7D and I can not change the settings because it tells me I have a incompatible flash on the hot-shoe.

I contacted Amazon and they are going to pay shipping to return it.

Sorry, since this is the G series message thread and the original message was about the G11 I skimmed over the messages too quickly. Anyway, the RF-602 also works fine on my 7D although I haven't attempted to change any settings. Since the RF-602 only issues a "Fire" command, I'm not sure what, if any, settings could be changed. What are you trying to change?

I was trying to access the external flash menu but it tells me I have a non compatible flash.

Well like I said I did a search hoping to find someone that may be able to help with my problem and my search brought me here but I see a mod has already moved it but I have already contacted Amazon and I'm going to return it.
It won't work on my xsi either, I have another one ordered if it don't work I will get a pocket Wizard.

It is not a flash, it is a wireless trigger. What makes you think the camera flash menu would be of any use?

OK then why don't it work and why does my camera work fine until I put it on the hot shoe and then it says I have a non compatible flash on the camera.

I'm not saying this I telling you what the camera is telling me.
Yes it is a wireless trigger but if the camera don't recognize it it can not work
But I'm sending it back got a new one ordered.

Post an image of the underside of the flash foot on the transmitter.

This will reveal if it is a Canon or Nikon version.

Enjoy! Lon

The camera is just stating that you cannot control the device mounted in the hot shoe. This has no bearing on it working with your camera or not. I am not saying that you do not have a defective trigger, but even if you get a trigger that works, the camera flash menu is not going to recognize it. This is normal.

My RF-602 works on my 7D with a 580EXII or a Yongnuo 460II. Although I did not exhaust every possibility, I was unable to simulate a compatibility program; that is, the flash always fired.

To buttress this information.

Almost everting I place on my Canon DSLR camera's hotshoe (Pocket Wizards Plus II, Elinchrom Skyport transmitter, CyberSync transmitter, Radio Popper JrX transmiter, other radio slave transmitters, Nikon Flash units, Sunpak 383, etc, etc, etc) would not be "recognized".

But, all of them work just fine, they function just as expected.

Enjoy! Lon

Try replacing the batteries, the standard ones included are junk.
