But...imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...
So after seeing Phamster's gelling series, I decided to give it a whack.
This is actually a snack-shack area at a local park.
I used an AB800 with a PLM, and a sunpak555 with a blue gel.
Lots of experimenting with settings and such, but I think I'm getting there.
The second one, with the light visible, gave really bad flare...how do I deal with it?
Because of the flare, I had to clone/bandaid/darken her sweater some...enough so that it went too dark. I don't like it that way, but I included the photo as a reference.

THANK YOU PHAMSTER!
Your photos inspire me to do better.
Mike

I will say one thing you have fun just as beautiful a model as any that Phamster shoots.

I'm fairly new to this forum, but if Phamster's models are half as pretty as yours, and his pictures half as good as these, I'd say you're doing everything right!

Gotta go check out this Phamster guy ...

While I don't think she is pregnant, it sure looks like it in the first image. I would have spent 10 seconds doing whatever was needed to get rid of the bulge (like CAREFULLY pulling the blouse around to the back side and tucking it into her jeans.) It could probably be done now in Ps if one wanted to spend enough time.

I would agree with you Benji, but seeing that sweater falling off her shoulder, my first reaction looking at the picture is not "oh, she's prego". After reading she looks pregnant, looking back at the picture, I can kind of see how someone may think that, but I just don't.

I agree with you...not the first thing I noticed or would have noticed until he said something and I went back and looked at it

You did pretty good ootsk. It's a great compliment to Phamster for someone wanting to copy his style. The closest I ever came to someone wanting to copy my work was when I caught my neighbor trying to take pictures of my wife in the bathtub lol j/k.

I just got my first pair of glasses that I didn't think I needed. I apologize to anybody in the past year that I said their pictures were out of focus lol.

I sell my 8 x 10s for $95.00 and at that price my clients expect the absolute best image possible. If their little sweetie looks even remotely like she is prego, overweight, has bad skin, looks odd, or sad, or lonely, or a drug addict they won't buy them. So I am VERY particular when looking at an image.

Ok, I guess I see what you mean with the front of the shirt.
I'm no expert with photoshop, but I took a stab at it.
Hope this clears up any confusion.....

LOL.

Now that's funny! I don't get the prego impression after looking at the first photo.....I think it was done very nice.

Her face is not sharp IMHO. Is it due to pp? Look at the butt in #1 and compare to the face. And wall is too much in focus.
