But the glow or whatever you've done to make them soft and fuzzy loses it for me. It pretty much wipes out some good shots in my opinion. I hope the underlying captures were sharp.

The shots with the white horse seem to be the exact same horse, in the exact same position. 5D MKII w/Grip, 40D w/ Grip, 400D w/ Grip, EFs 18-55mm, 17-40 F4L, 70-200 2.8 ISL, EF 75-300 III USM, EF 50mm 1.8, EF 100mm 2.8 Macro, Pentacon Six 45mm Tilt, Composer Lens Baby, 430EX, 580EXII,....and big dreams.

Though the softness/glow is a bit much I feel. hahaha for a second I thought that too but they are very slighty different. I looked closely.

To similar to be different horses, but they aren't the same shot. Just very very similar. 5D MKII w/Grip, 40D w/ Grip, 400D w/ Grip, EFs 18-55mm, 17-40 F4L, 70-200 2.8 ISL, EF 75-300 III USM, EF 50mm 1.8, EF 100mm 2.8 Macro, Pentacon Six 45mm Tilt, Composer Lens Baby, 430EX, 580EXII,....and big dreams.

Dec 08, 2010 14:49 | #8 Thanks All. Great feed back! All 300 shots I took that day were a tad soft. Very poor lighting ( very overcast once I got to the mountains) and I purchased a used lens and did not check it out before I went out for the day. Lesson learned! MA is needed. The white horse is the same in both shots and seems to be the lookout for the band of horses hence the simular pose. I used a new to me action called midnight sepia. It gives a slight glow and ghostly look to the images. It is a great action but is not for everything. I did print the last photo 16 x 20 enhanced matt finish and it looks really good. The others not so good. My Flickr
