Thanks for the comments. Taking pictures of kids this age takes a lot of patience, but I've had a lot of practice this year with my daughter who was born in February.

I think that first shot is the winner. It is a great shot of the baby, great catchlights, great expression, dimples showing, and I love the lights in the background, as this IS a christmas shot. That shot is Isn't the box a great tool for a busy toddler to contain him? I find some of the others to be not as much about him, the bear and chair compete with him. Great stuff!

Great series...love the colors, but the face is a little to over-exposed for my taste.

Very Nice Job of Baby Wrangling! :D

The child looks a tad magenta to me in 1, 2, 5 and 6 however...

Thanks! I'll take a look at those. I've been really working on improving my skin tones with color portraits. For me this is the most difficult part.

Was going to mention this.....and a tad bright to me. I know the baby's skin will be brighter than average....but he is almost too bright.
I really like #2. Compositionally, I might have had more room on the right....the blank wall draws away a bit...Good work...love the clarity in these!
What did you light these with?

White balance is off. #2 and 3 are look completely different than 1 and 4. The faces are generally overexposed and in #1 the eyes especially look over processed. I'm not sure what the child's skin is like, but these shots make him look unnatural. Kids are tough.

Cool shots. Just little too bright. Just my opinion.

Thanks for sharing.
