Today I updated the nvidia driver for my7600 GS (i think it is !) and noticed that the ability to save (and hence to load) desktop color settings has been removed.

I had some minor calibrating settings (gamma, brightness) set which have now been lost and I cannot even load them from the file I saved.

It isn't a huge deal--I remember the settings; but I'm baffled as to why this option has been removed.

Were you using the Nvidia "stock" driver before, or was it a 3rd party driver from the card manufacturer?
(just a hunch, I can't recall what options I get with the stock nvidia driver at home )

I've always used the stock drivers. I'm on a desktop, don't 'mod' and download via the Nvidia site. I thought it might be because this time I installed without nview. Re-installed with it and still the option to save/load desktop color settings is totally gone from the menu.

O-kay. I'm home now.

I'm running NVidia control Panel 2.8.313.07

It's the latest version for my OS (XP 64) but likely old none the less to the OS.
Profiles are still on it.

It looks like Nvidia has a separate tool now;
