Taking a photography class and need to submit 6 photos from my first attempt in a studio last week. I think i've gotten them narrowed down, but please give me some feedback on these pics. Would really appreciate some really detailed constructive feedback!

The first two dont do too much for me, the first is too softened and the second is just kind of awkward, shot from a low angle with her looking away. The rest are better but the last one would have been great if you could see her face. I would like at least one where she is looking at the camera communicating with the viewer.

Thanks for the response. The eye contact was a bit of a challenge in this case as she was a shared model with the remainder of the classmates but completely appreciate where you are coming from.

My personal opinion is that one is too soft on the skin tones. Number 2 doesn't do much for me. 3 is nice and 4 I really like. 5 seems off to me somehow and the last one I like the idea, but think that it would be better if her neck was stretched up and she was looking to the upper right corner. That is my opinion anyway.

I really like #1 - the softness fits OK here I think and her eye lashes appear to be sharp. It is getting hot in spots on her face.

#2 is OK but the earring is too big and too bright. It draws the eye.

#3 is getting hot again.

#4 the bright light makes up too much of the image for me. She looks good though.

#5 & #6 are OK but the poses don't do anything for me. The light falls off too fast so the impact is lost I think. And these too are getting hot in spots.

I'm not familiar with the term "getting hot" in spots. Would you mind explaining?

Hot = over exposed. The skin has lost all color in spots.
