just got a 430ex ii today and tried taking a few shots in my room...is there any way i can take good shots like these without any additional equipment? (like umbrellas and softbox? whatever they are)

thanks guys. wish the client like it as well. just received an email saying he wants a reshoot. I will get paid again but he just doesn't like how he looks in these and said it has nothing to do with my capabilities lol which is good of course.
