Grey seamless is tricky, if you have enough studio space you do not really need it unless you want a shadow on a background and still deep grey, cause if you have the space to put 15 feet or so between your subject and a white seamless background, you can make pure white turn to black and anything in between with just different power settings on strobes and lighting techniques, however when space is a huge factor like it is for me (I have MAYBE 6 feet between model and the background where I'm shooting) then grey seamless is a very nice option to have! I suggest it!

I have alot of room, kinda, probably about 30 feet of space, but i have to keep my paper 10 feet of the back wall so about 20 feet deep. then i have 8 foot of paper/ white tile board on the ground, then to get good speration, and full body, i have the model in the midle of the front tile board, so about 5-6 feet from the back drop, if i dont get the light nice and tight background goes light grey/ muddy white.
it be nice to be able to get the model closer to the background, b/c full body portraits (on the crop body) im back against the wall wit the 50mm :P

Yeah I hear you! yeah I mean the nice thing about seamless is its probably one of the cheapest parts you'll buy in studio photography :P $50 for a long roll of 9' wide paper isn't bad at all!

^^ Love that guitar series, JG!!

Did a shoot for a local t-shirt company here in Chicago (ChiBoys). This is the first one I edited, and I used it for Day 191 of my Project365.

White Lighting X1600 (full power setting) @ 1/2 via reflected umbrella.
