I'm not a fan of others editing my photos. If he ever sends it to me I'll discuss the changes with him and make it accordingly if I think it fits and re-post.

now that he's pointed it out... yes, you can see the barrel distortion and the wall on the left is not parallel. if you look at it closely, it kind of curves towards the middle of the frame (where you'd expect to see the barrel distortion).

i think it's fine and only if you're being super nit-picky OR if you're just super anal about your pictures being perfectly straight will it matter. i highly doubt the bride would notice at all.

but i prefer the left one over the right one. something about the right one seems... unbalanced to me (not referring to lines either). :)

edit: i think it's the posing. but still a great photo and lighting. must give this a try as well! ;)

yea, I didn't pay much attention to it either until he mentioned it. I guess I was focused on what mattered to me - the bride.

I was just curious how it looked, seemed to me that the model when be pulled over with the adjustment?

Then PM it to me. Can't please everyone.

It's not about pleasing anyone. I don't know why you posted it if you aren't open to constructive criticism or a comment other than "OMG! AMAZING!"

No one is denying there isn't distortion. You'll always have that with wide angles. The image is adjusted as best as possible so model is upright and the majority of the image looks correct without affecting the important elements.

Both photos are different crop ratios as well. The one on the left is an 8x10 crop and the one on the right is 8x11.

She will be pulled over. I have it adjusted so that the model is sitting straight up how it is now. That's why it is how it is.

Dude wtf is your problem? I'm open to it? Do you see me going off on you telling you that you are wrong? I told you to send me your edit so i can look over it. You need to get real. And it is about pleasing people. The client.

One word answers and clever little retorts like 'can't please everyone' aren't exactly "open to it" but the image is perfect anyway. Good shot.

So why are you trying to pick a fight here? I asked you to send me the file in a PM. You don't have to, but I'd like to see what you're claiming you corrected. If it helps the image I'll make the adjustments and thank you. That's it I don't why know you're getting all huffy puffy.

mikekelley, regardless of the slightest imperfections you may find in his photos, they are still top-notch and they are amazing. I think we all understand your argument and can see what you are talking about but being a douche about it is not the same as giving CC. Change your attitude a bit.
