I love the light and the shot but I'm not diggin' the Photoshop lens flare.

Is that because you know its photoshopped or because you just dont like it in the shot?

my opinion about the photoshop flare, the idea is cool, but the "light" is hitting parts of the body that are not lit up (under the tummy) and not hitting parts that are lit up (above breasts) . so it sends of red flags in my head,

It's the appearance of the flare. It appears unnatural and looks like it was added. Rather than say it doesn't look real, because that may not be the intent, I'll just say that I don't care for the effect and think the flare in the upper left actually draws me eye to it and away from the lovely lady's belly and the fact that she is the subject.

Just my pennies worth. :D

Fair enough. Thank you both for your input. :D

I was trying to convey where our gift in the belly came from.

They are all awesome. Her eyes really pop!

My g/f's idea, we kind of shared putting it together. Single 580 ex fired bare just off camera right.

Maybe I should move this light stand back a little more. And raise the other light up so I don't get a reflection on the faucet. Don't move, just hang on a few seconds longer." LOL

Very cool pic, though. I like it a lot!!

Still waiting for the wifes belly to get really big. Practicing in the mean time. :D

Dress her in costume, repeat the shot, and sell it to a few hundred Christian publications next October/November.

I like the distance you showed there....this would look good black and white and then intensify the highlights.

Still learning the outdoor photography for HS seniors with supplemental lighting. One Elinchrom 400 in a medium softbox camera left boomed by the wife. Additional light provided by setting sun.

With the light shining down on her belly, it might make good pic/reference to the virgin Mary and the virgin birth of Jesus.

Oh yea. HAHAHA I thought you meant to put her into a halloween costume or something. I did want there to be a divine sense to the image. Not that I think my son is the second coming but just that he is a true blessing and miracle of god.

Had a 'fashion show' with my daughters today. My 430ex, cheap wireless triggers, and cheap umbrella.
