A couple days ago I got bored and decided to mess around with my camera a bit. Ended up making a snoot out of the most common item in a college student's house, plastic cups.

Correction: The second most common item in a college student's house.
The first is the subject of your picture.

Kendra Senior ~ The Abandoned Railroad

i have been posting lots of wedding photos, but i should get back to my core senior work.

kendra on the abandon rail road track..
note the word abandon.. you can see the rust on the tracks..

i don't recommend working on the rail roads but so many seniors request rail road shots.. very cliche imho.. so i wanted something unique for her

lighting was 2 speed lights bunched together thus i considered it one light source, camera right in ettl mode triggered by radio poppers system.

about 6 feet away from kendra camera right

i was on my belly to get this shot too from low to low - so use that perspective on your next shoot you might like the results

Pham

I really light this shot.
Question: what was 6 ft to camera left in your description of the set up?

Thanks
Ralph

@Pham ...... great shot and very good use of the low shooting angle

Does it need rotating a couple of degrees clockwise ?

@ Simon. Maybe or maybe not. The slight twist is working for me. It was a mistake though

I love the low angle on this! Great use of the tracks to lead us into the subject. Yet another slam-dunk by the Phamster!

And in my completely unprofessional, hobbyist opinion, the tilt counter-clockwise helps to draw the viewer to her face more. Everything just leads to her face, which I really like!
