I've never tried shooting macros with a strobe. Must be hard to lug around, huh?

Not bad considering you setup and don't move from a location for a while. I haven't put together my macro rig yet so I have to improvise;)

The spider was in wardrobe and makeup so there was plenty of time to set up and meter the light before the shoot.

These won't be everyone's cup of tea but anyone who's tried to get a decent photo of a fish in a tank, let alone one where you've isolated it from it's environment, will likely know how hard and how long it took before I worked out a technique.............nobody gives the secret away..............except me :-)

Wow! Those are some of the best cichlid photos I've seen. I took a look through your album and I'm totally in awe. I've really got a soft spot for the Managuensis - most fantastically evil fish I've ever owned  Congrats on the beautiful fish and photos!

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.
