Move the soft box further to the left of your subject (10:30 position or so). It'll give you more interesting shadows.

Thank you, I tried but was not happy with the results, but I did get an interesting shot or two from the session, so thanks for the idea.

Well, this is it! I defenitely want to do something similar with my RZ67 camera (close up). Is that just a BD above or is there a silver reflector below that does not show as a catchlight?

Got some lighting gear for Christmas and I've been studying the strobist blog for tips/pointers. As a result I present my first attempts at off camera lighting. The [Span style='text-decoration: line-through;']victim[/span​] model is a photography buddy who volunteered to be the guinea pig.
