It's a shame the 24-105 gets such a bad rap.

Here's another using a slow shutter technique, from a show last month. I was set up for just head/bust shots of the performers, but when she came out with light-up "headlights" on her bra, I knew I needed to do something else.I wish I had had more room to frame loosely, but my 24-70 is being flaky so the 50mm was the widest I had on hand.

The main light is an Elinchrom in a vertical strip box; the others are LED stage lights, random lighted clutter around the room, and of course the headlights.

First-curtain shutter, 1.0s shutter speed, f/5 and ISO100.
5D3 with Canon 50mm 1.4 (though honestly, for this kind of shot, camera and lens are secondary to light and technique)
It took a few tries to get her in the middle of the frame.
Should have turned off the modeling light for a less smeary look on her features & outline.
