haha I still don't have any models in Florida :( I've contacted a few girls, but no replies yet so this might be a much slower process for me then I thought. I only know one person here in Jax so I'm trying, but it's not easy.

I'm going through some older images that are still decent to post.

Ya eyes are bit different I suppose it's from the lens? Or maybe she has super powers in the ability to control her eye size. Total mind f*ck eh?

Welcome to Florida!

Hello,

could somebody please help me through this picture and someone's reply ,when i say help me through i mean step by step in how you access the situation and set up.And i cant quite grasp about someone's reply in under exposing the background.does this mean he has taken a reading in camera for the back ground to be exposed correctly.

https://photography-on-the.net …426809&stc=1&d=1265415334

https://photography-on-the.net …426810&stc=1&d=1265415334

On the first, had you under exposed the background by another stop or two, and brought the subject back up with the flash, it would have turned out much richer and less washed out.

Your link only goes to one photo. So I'm not certain what you are asking about.

I think you have the process correct. These two examples are problematic in that in one the sky was behind him and in the second the building was behind him so that they could have been taken with the same ambient (not flash) exposure. But yes, one method of using flash is to meter the scene at normal levels. Then either using manual settings or exposure compensation dial the exposure down by a certain amount (based on preference) and using the flash to illuminate and expose the subject properly. The amount of underexposure you do depends on the look you want. Its entirely possible with a powerful enough light to overpower the sun and make a daylight scene look twilight or even night.

Incredible shots. I really love your shots and it's great to see such quality come from the 1.8 and single strobe.
