That's a beauty. The model is fabulous.

Thanks, and yes, she was amazing to work with. Great team for this shoot. She's 6' tall flat footed, in 6" heels and with 5 sets of hair extensions + 4 hours of labor by the 5'4" stylist, she ended up being really, really tall. Here's an outtake of the touch-ups between shots to give you an idea of how tall she really is.

Another fav from the shoot that day:

This was shot mostly for the mua and hair stylist to add to their portfolio, it ended up being the cover of the lookbook for the campaign.

Thanks! No, short / wide lens to help cut the height down a little and not make the model look overly tall in the book. Didn't have a lot of space behind me either, most shots were taken around 30-35mm on a 24-70L. Not my ideal setup, but the client loved the look and wanted them pp'd with a warming sepia town, rich, like the Australian wool used in the clothing.

Hope all is well with you! Been following your work on FB / Flickr...

Seriously, Mike Panic, she sounds like she has the same kind of temperment as the woman I shot last week, Makena... does whatever it takes, has great patience, and no real pressing ego issues. None of this "You wanna do WHAT with my hair?!?!?"
I love working with models like that.

It makes a huge difference when you work with professional models who are agency represented, in comparison to MM models who think their sh*t doesn't stink. I'd much prefer to work with a real AD, stylist, mua and model once a month than MM models every day.

FWIW, she had only been in the country 3 weeks when we did this shoot too, spoke English pretty well (from Russia) and didn't once stop. Her call time was 7am, we started to shoot around 11:30 and didn't wrap until after 7 that night. Aside from a few small breaks for food and water, no one on set complained or even asked what time it was, working with professionals makes all the difference.

You realize she's only 18, right? Also, hair was well over 7' tall. I'm 5'10, it was interesting to say the least, but a great shoot.

You act like she being 18 is a bad thing :) Great shot.
