On a whim, I've just bought a Bowens Bo-Meter in a photographic junk shop. At £10, I figured I had nothing to lose. I am assured it's in working order.

I've never used a flash meter before - can anyone point me in the direction of a decent starter's tutorial . . . yes, I have googled, but all results seems to presume some prior knowledge.

Can anyone help?

I hope so, nine years is a long time to look for a manual to a bargain bin meter.

I don't know but a lot of the old meters just switch off after not being used for a while.

Search online. Old manuals are available. What is that one site...? Manualslib?

Just do a search. Bowen’s bo-meter manual

Pull the battery until you figure out the power switch.
