Don't have any fancy ED glass yet, so I make due with the 5" Achromat as best I can. Here is another from last week. Maybe I will be able to get ED Glass for X-Mass.:)

Nice image, especially with only 30 minutes of data.

Your color balance is off(weighted in magenta) however and you have clipped the black point in your processing which tossed a good bit of faint detail in the outer regions of the nebula as well as many faint stars. If you are stretching your stacked file in Photoshop I would recommend Noel's Astro Tools (actions), they work wonders for many issues that are inherent to DSLR deep sky work. It really helps control star bloat in the final file work. I don't use a modified camera either, keep at it you'll be amazed at what can be done in processing. Keep up the good work, lots of potential shown in this image.

Thanks, Yuh I deliberately cliped the black point after an hour or more of color balancing. It brought out detail and I was tired. I am using Astronomy tools and that helped to get things to where they currently are. Thanks for the advice I will do more imaging and processing when time allows and try and incorporate your suggestions. BTW good work on your site.

Redone the color balance. With an unmoded camera and an acromatic refractor, I think this is about as good as it will get.
