G'day! So i have done a little research on creating HDR images in Lightroom and it has come to my attention that i need to download a plugin called 'ENFUSE'. I tried doing this but i have NO IDEA how to install it, i read the README file and it makes no sense to me what so ever! (i just dont have the computer knowledge to work around it)

Can someone please shed some light on this situation and explain how to install it or explain a different way to start making HDR images? I have Photoshop CS9 but i would prefer to use LR as i use it as my main editing program. (i actually havent used PS9 at all!)

Cheers, Nick

Presumably you have PSE 9. PSCS 9 is still about six years down the road.
But since you already have PSE 9, I would suggest that you export tifs from Lightroom and learn how to blend them for HDRs in PSE, rather than starting with another redundant program.

I haven't used Elements since early versions, so all I could do to help is Google "elements hdr tutorial". I came up with a page that has some interesting possibilities, so check it out:

http://www.google.com …urceid=ie7&rlz=1I7ADRA_en (external link)

Also, I don't even know if there is an HDR plug-in/tool built in to Elements like there is for Photoshop, but it's entirely possible that Photomatix does (it has one for Lightroom as well). You might check it out.

Aside from those possibilities there is also the good old method of manually blending exposures in Elements -- you put the images in layers, add layer masks, then brush in areas from each image that enhance the image.

Just buy photomatix, you can export the 3,5 or 7 shots and it will automatically import then into photomtaix from LR you can set it up so it takes you straight to the tonemapping part then allows you to save and re-import back into LR. you can't get any simpler then that can you? I persoanlly think you are asking too much out of lightroom, if they made LR and all in one type deal like photoshop then whats the purpose of having LR anyway? I think you will be better off with photomatix. I know there are presets called Dave on the Hill which will make a single image look like HDR.

Here is the link.

beautiful, thanks guys! Photomatix is installed and running, i haven't needed to import the HDRs into Lightroom as of yet because they are pretty much complete by the time i export them from Photomatix. (they dont need anymore editing)

Any suggestions that could improve the HDRs in Lightroom after deleoping them in Photomatix?

Well, gosh, Lightroom or Photoshop can do the "usual" enhancements" to a tiff after an HDR:)!
