Shot two bearded events in one weekend. Movember was insane, I shot about 100 people in two hours, without an assistant.

From the 2010 NYC Beard & Moustache Competition. Brought seamless paper this time.

these portraits are all really great. not sure why no one has complimented you.

on another note, i think you linked to web pages in the [IMG] tags, because 2-8 all look like broken images to me. i could right click and open them in a new window, though.

Hey, thanks to everyone for checking out my work. Not sure why they werent all there but I fixed it.

Setup was simple. For the blue background, I lit the seamless paper with a 530ex bare, two 430ex's snooted for rim, and an alien bee b800 beauty dished for main. For the black background, two 430ex's snooted for rim, 530ex softboxed for main.

The last four were done with a very limited amount of space, not to mention time (about 30 seconds with each person). Thats why I opted for a black background, since it didn't need to be lit, and by doing so, I did sacrifice some "pop" that you get with the halo of light on the first four.

The first four are the best but the last 4 are great too. Good Job. Thanks for the lighting info!
