I actualy think a little colour could be a good thing.

I spent sometime talking to a pro at a wedding early in the year, one of the biggest problems he said he had when shooting groups was getting everybody to look at the camera.
I can imagine a Bright Yellow 1D would attrack a fair bit of attention :D

Besides, a bit of colour never hurt anybody.

So long and thanks for all the flash

No that's not German, it's Dutch!!! ;)

The thread on the Dutch forum is a rumour thread about the Rebel XT. The comment says "The 350D will be available in yellow", "You know, smaller body, more hip colours, the buyers will like this". Someone just wanted to make a joke.

I saw that yellow Rebel before on another website.Someone had actually taken the whole camera apart and painted it yellow. It's not a Photoshop job, it's just someone who thought it was fun to paint their camera yellow.

Just my 2c...

... it's a Dutch forum, not German
... I remember that yellow 300D. It's a user modification that I've seen on the web, but could not find it at the moment.

I remember that there was a pretty documentation with pictures (around the time when the DRebel was released), think it was on a Korean site. Somebody painted his 300D yellow. He did a really neat job, with dismantling the camera completely, priming the plastic parts, painting them and then applying little black letters describing the functions.

Maybe someone can find it, there was also a link here on the forum.

Best regards,
Andy

FWIW: I know a guy who painted his EOS yellow. (either 5 or 10D, not sure) He photographed a lot of climbing / bouldering events and said it made the camera a lot easier to spot. Also it was a kind of 'incurance': No-one would think of stealing it...

I'm pretty sure it's a Drebel with a paint job. Notice the Canon logo has been painted over on the pop up flash.
