Katrina/NO photography- what's he using?

In this photo (external link), it looks like he's using a 1D variant, but I can't tell for sure. Anybody with a better idea?

There's another photo in there somewhere, where there's at least three photojournalists standing around a gathering of some sort. One has what's obviously a big 400 to 600mm Canon L telephoto slung on his side.

Can't help but notice these days. :)
