What is your primary reason for your website?

- Try to find new clients through the web... advertising?
- A place to point existing clients to view the images you did for them?
- Somewhere to put all of your own photos online?
- Some other reason?

My biggest reason was to have a place to proof for clients and every time a potential customer approaches me, the first thing they ask for is a website to look at my work.

I'm a nature photographer, so besides the occasional Arts and Craft show, I rely on the internet (my website) so people can buy my work. That's why SEO is very important to me.

To show off my work to others, to be more professional, to be able to have it on my business cards so people can check out my work to determine if they like my work and would want to hire me, and finally it's so cheap and easy nowadays why not?

I have a website to fulfill several criteria:

Single point of contact for clients, even if they don't have my e-mail/phone no they can contact me through the site.
It's a test bed for WordPress themes that I'm designing or showcasing.
It's a teaching resource (or early stages of) for my students.
A 'folio site for some of my work.
Whilst it's a factor its' a place to give me a web presence and show clients what I can do.

Note the current site is due to be overhauled in the next few weeks.

Some call me the Heilan' Laddie, but others call me Rob.

Chuckle been busy with a number of projects this year I've been around but not as much in the fora mostly in the lighting section if anywhere. The new site is built off of the WordPress CMS engine. It's been a crazy two weeks putting it all together as I've built my own theme from the ground up due to my own requirements as there was no theme that could do what I wanted it to do.

So I could be called a developer now!
