My son lives in a hi-rise across the Hudson from lower Manhattan. I took these tonight. They're technically flawed, since I was shooting through his window, but they do have that certain look. Comments/criticism welcomed.

I like them, but I'd reduce the noise and work with the contrast a bit. Unfortunately, becuase you're not shooting straight on, it's giving the illlusion (at least in the cropped photo) that the buildings are leaning a bit. I saw how you have your waterfront pretty straight, so there's not a whole lot that can be done about it. Others with better exprience could do more in terms of giving advice than I can. Thanks for the feedback. The second photo was a different shot taken at 135mm. I then used the 'Grunge' setting on Photomatrix. Guess it looks grungy. Go figure. EOS R | EOS 7D

The first ones, showing the whole skyline of lower Manhattan, have a specific purpose in mind: my son works in a hi-rise in the financial district (which is the focus of the images). His office desk has three flat-screen monitors in a row. He wants to crop down the image to fit the triple-wide monitor group as a desktop image. EOS R | EOS 7D
