How about photo thumbnails next to the thread title?

I think it would be a great idea if we could see a thumbnail of a thread without having to open it to view. It would get more people to click on a thread.

Was this considered at all?

This is not possible as it would require changes to the forum software. However its been noted for future.


Many many years ago, I actually made a hack for the forum software phpbb that did just what you are asking for ;)

I just hover over the title of a thread... at which point a little box comes up with the first line or so... which normally is enough to let me know whether I want to click on it or not

Ok fair enough, I didn't realise. I know vBulletin version 3.8.4 has that capability.

Not without modifications. I have 4.1.0 myself and have not seen such a feature.
