7d live view issue

My 7d won't do the 5x and 10x magnification in live view any more it just gives me a message saying o can't do that with a stupid little text smiley

Are you trying to magnify before you shoot? Or are you trying to magnify the image after you shoot?

Also, Videos can not be magnified during or after shooting.

I just found your problem. There are 3 options for AF in Liveview. "Live mode" , "SMILE Live Mode", and "Qucik Mode". If you select SMILE, you can not magnify for some reason. I guess the camera can't see the smiles then.

Just go back to Live mode or Quick mode.
