Using black string to tie the ends together will put a black line right across your image, not to mention making the placement of the whole assembly extremely limited, as a model's face won't be able to get close enough.

They look like just about the same thing. I'm just saying, I think they are machine rolled as well. Trying to find the time to take photos, oh what a world!!!

Great idea Scott! Lightweight and already has the shape needed - I wonder if a hulahoop retains the bend if it were cut in two. If you wrap the fabric around the frame, you would never be able to tell it was a hulahoop. Kevin
