Hi guys

I have a family photoshoot this weekend and would like some advice.

How do you make the sessions fun, relaxed to get the most out of the people involved?

This is the main problem i have when doing photoshoots, making people relax.

Any advice is gratfully recieved.

Thanks

Gaz

Get them to do some fun stuff like running towards the camera or make them them group together real close and then shout to them to start tickling!

It's a great ice breaker and really gets the mood going if the family are up for it. You can get some great looking natural shots that way.

Try to be relaxed too, the more enthusiastic you are the more fun the family will have. Don't be afraid to check things over or review your images. It will give everyone a breather and give you some time to think up your next shot.

Thanks for your reply.

Having done the shoot, i have come away with more things i need to learn.

Including, posing people, being creative with a small amount of space.

I was lucky that they were family and were patient.

Anyway, take it easy

Gareth
