Paul you are putting together a very nice series of images here on horses. The sun looks to have been pretty high here though and the grass has a washed out look to it, I would suggest trying to get out even earlier or later in the day and try capturing these in morning or evening light I think the images would be even better.

Wonderful shot I'd say. Though I have to admit the part about the grass. A Circular Polarizer would probably have done some good, too.


You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

Diddo about the grass but the exposure on the horses is award winning!

As nice as it is to get compliments on your images and it is nice. I really appreciate it when you guys take the time to tell me how I can improve them. Thanks to people like yourselves this site is giving me an education in photography that I would never have gotten otherwise. Again, thank you for taking the time and sharing your knowledge and experience. It is greatly appreciated.

Bright sunshine really makes animal coats shine and accentuates the muscles of the horses. The grass may be a little bright, but the equines sure look good!
