The sun looks to have been pretty high here though and the grass has a washed out look to it, I would suggest trying to get out even earlier or later in the day and try capturing these in morning or evening light I think the images would be even better.

Though I have to admit the part about the grass. A Circular Polarizer would probably have done some good, too. You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
