I've been tasked with buying a Christmas gift for my Father-In-law this year...
He's got a Canon P&S Camera.... but a bargain model... and he hasn't been happy with the IQ from it...
He and my Mother-n-Law recently took a trip to Switzerland and they used my sister-in-law's SX20IS.... he liked the zoom capability of that one... but in reading reviews on the SX20IS and SX30IS, the reviews aren't as happy with the IQ in recent models....
My FIL knows his way around a camera, but really isn't interested in carrying around a full-on DSLR... so... I've been thinking about a S95 or G11 ...
Any help would be great...
He doesn't use a camera on a daily basis... but as experience shooting manually with film cameras in the past... the smaller, the better.... but I'd still like to keep a decent amount of zoom available....
