Dave - Wilbur in Nomex -- must have missed that email. Though I bet it makes him quite the darling with the 'ladies' at the dog park.

Mickey - Time period. Lets say from first shipments (whenever the hell that will be) out 6 months.

You're quite right - they'll be lined up...and while the firm does appear to have good legitimate customer service (on proven products), their "Try This One.." CS re: new products ("oops, missed that, try this copy, oops...etc) will still get praised to high heaven.

Anyway, I had my fun. No sense going into another fruitless pro/cons vs PCB products. We (the RoW) won't change our opinions and his loyal customers certainly won't change theirs.

I hope for the best for this thing, but I'll put my $$$ elsewhere - and I'll get the popcorn popper cleaned and serviced in anticipation.

Ive been waiting and going back and forth. For the more experienced shooters...what are your thoughts on a lighter pack? Im thinking im not usually going to be that far from my vehicle, but want this for places there is no power. How far do you trek your gear?

Now here is info for a Lithium battery that has the same specs as the Vagabond II, but is HALF the weight, but almost the exact same dimensions. And the Vagabond II is rated for 500 cycles... the Impact battery for 3000 cycles (that is the amount of times you can recharge it)

(1) - Impact Battery = $268

Voltage 10V - 17V
20 Hour Rate 20Ah
Dimensions 7.0 x 2.9 x 6.6
Terminal 8mm x 1.25
Weight 7.25 lb
*up to 3,000 cycles

I have a Vagabond-II and it works fine for what I do, but I would LOVE to drop the weight...and so would my assistants (i.e. my kids :-) )

Would the battery above be a simple, drop-in upgrade to the current sealed lead-acid battery in Vagabond-II's ?!?!?!

Question now posted in a new thread to avoid hijacking this one...
