I had a friend with one of these cameras that did a high speed burst, what it did was shoot a sequence of shots, all on a single frame. Imagine a single image with 9 evenly divided panels, each containing a sequence shot. For instance if you shot a golf swing you would see the evolution of the motion as it went through each of the panels that comprise the image. In his case it was a total pain in the ass he hit it accidentally and ended up with some very tiny images when he cropped a single panel out.

Try 3 MP, 2.5 MP and 2 MP for the various crops in high speed burst mode. I assume that "Image" priority (6 fps) means that the camera will try to focus between shots; "Speed" priority (10 fps) will be less concerned with maintaining focus.
