Due to my recent snowbound incarceration at my friends place in Minneapolis. Mother nature herself has provided the inspiration for the next rebel challenge:

Winters Grip.

For us northerners, the "second season" is well and truly upon us (FYI - many Minnesnowotans refer to the seasons as snow removal, and road construction).
my idea for this challenge is to represent the winter season's effect on you or your environment.

I was going to title it "let it snow" but I believe that might geographically restrict some of us - so hopefully this is more manageable.

With Christmas coming up, the timeframe might be a little odd for some and I don't want people interfering with their holiday schedule over a picture people so here's the plan:

Submissions end Monday Dec 20th at 11:59pm EST unless a mod changes it
You can check the time here: java based clock (external link).
Voting will commence Tuesday Dec 21 and will run past Christmas to Sunday the 26th, unless changed.

Everybody is entitled to vote!

Submissions will be open to anyone with a Digital Rebel Camera (Rebel/300d, XT/350d, XTi/400d, XS/1000d, XSi/450d, T1i/500d, T2i/550d)

Rules:
*Must be shot with Canon Rebel
*Must be shot during this time frame, Dec 13th - Dec 20th
*Must provide Exif data
*Only one pic per person
*Submissions must be posted in this thread by Dec 20th at 11:59pm EST (unless a mod changes it)
*Voting will begin Dec 21st and go through Dec 26th and is open to anyone on the forum.
*Winner will choose topic for the following week

For any discussions please use the main thread here:

*Please do not discuss/comment photos until after the submission deadline. Have fun - and don't freeze....

I've got an alternate idea or 2 which might be slightly more global if there is general desire to change this one.

I would think that "winter's grip" in TX and CA means having to deal with all of those "snowbirds" who flee the northern climates (LOL).

All I want is just a little more than I'll ever have.

Gear: I started out with nothing, and have most of it left!
