I edited this photo and on my screen the skin looks fine, I sent it to Costco to print my Xmas cards and it came out very blue, almost like she is dead. My monitor isn't calibrated so I need to know if it is the lab or me

I suspect there are some autocorrections going on by a machine and not with a human eye. If this is the case try to re-print with auto correction turned off.

They also allow you to set your profile with them to turn auto correction off. I've had the occasional problem with their local processing (wouldn't even consider their mail order processing) but generally we find they do a very nice job. All Costcos are not created or run equally. Dave

Funny thing is I had to print a few ASAP and I used Walgrees (which is less than grade A lab) and they came out beautifully. I will set up the profile and send a sample prin but if it doesn't turn out right they will loose my buisiness.

Google "skin color value CMYK" or "skin color value RGB". Learn what values look good. If you edit by the numbers in your info pallet it doesn't matter so much if your monitor isn't correctly calibrated. California Photographer

Costco has always been one of the few 'The customer is always right' stores left. Let us know how you make out. Your image looks like it should have produced an acceptable print. Dave

There are not a lot of varying colors in this image so an auto levels would likely turn this photo an odd color just like auto levels would turn a photo with a big yellow flower into a very blue image.
