Been using Portrait Professional for some time...best software investment...ever!!
It is great software. I just have to be careful to use restraint or I can REALLY change a person's appearance (and anatomical features) which may or may not be good.

Portrait Professional seems too involved for me. Wow. I tried the Port. Pro trial last night and it was pretty simple. Exactly how much simpler is Portraiture? How does Portraiture find the shape and location of eyes, irises, pupils, nose, eyebrows, mouth and edge of face?

It often can't figure out what is skin so you need to paint it in. With that said, I find there is more control with PP and some bonus like hair/mouth/eye control in terms of enhancements and the results look more natural. The fact that it is also cheaper is a bonus. Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

RDKirk Adorama says I'm "packed." More info | How does Portraiture find the shape and location of eyes, irises, pupils, nose, eyebrows, mouth and edge of face? It uses a user-adjustable box over a spectrum control to locate the skin tones and operates only on them (depending on how deft you are with the control), creating a "skin mask."
