Been using Portrait Professional for some time...best software investment...ever!!

It is great software. I just have to be careful to use restraint or I can REALLY change a person's appearance (and anatomical features) which may or may not be good.

Uploaded last night. Program works awesome.

Which one?

Can you post the comparison photos side by side so they can be seen simultaneously? It makes them easier to compare.

It's easy to turn off the face shaping, no?

Can anybody comment on workflow integration of these two products with Lightroom?

Integration with Lightroom rather than Photoshop would seem to generally be of more interest to more people. One of the main purposes of either of these programs is to try to avoid the more complex and time consuming Photoshop.

There is a plug-in for Lightroom. You'll just hit "Edit In" and choose Lightroom. Instructions on web site. I'm going to do it tonight and let you know how difficult it is.

Couldn't live w/o Portraiture. Portrait Professional seems too involved for me.

Wow. I tried the Port. Pro trial last night and it was pretty simple. Exactly how much simpler is Portraiture? How does Portraiture find the shape and location of eyes, irises, pupils, nose, eyebrows, mouth and edge of face?

On Port Pro, I find the sliders very simple and easy to use, while still giving a nice degree of control. What controls are available in Portraiture and how do they work? Does it offer the same degree of control as Port Pro?

Why does Portraiture cost two to three times as much as Portraiture Professional?

Portrait Professional is more work. It often can't figure out what is skin so you need to paint it in. With that said, I find there is more control with PP and some bonus like hair/mouth/eye control in terms of enhancements and the results look more natural. The fact that it is also cheaper is a bonus.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

How does Portraiture find the shape and location of eyes, irises, pupils, nose, eyebrows, mouth and edge of face?

It uses a user-adjustable box over a spectrum control to locate the skin tones and operates only on them (depending on how deft you are with the control), creating a "skin mask."

I've never used Portraiture, but I stopped using Portrait Professional in July-ish of this year. I find that I can do better on my own.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

Does Imagenomic's Portraiture not do hair, mouth, and eyes?

What does Portraiture do that Portrait Professional doesn't?

From what I've heard so far it does less, but it costs more. What am I missing?
