A swan on the Salmon River. 2 pics

I like the reflection and the simplicity but the lighting is kinda flat in this shot.

Either way, it's not easy chasing swans in a moving dinghy and still getting a good shot LOL

The first shot is pretty well done - it's so easy to blow out a swan that you generally want flat/cloudy light. It could be perked up a bit in Photoshop - some Shadows & Highlights and then some contrast and a little saturation would do wonders I'd bet.

Yep, it looks better if I play a bit in PS. Mind if I post an example edit?

Highlight Parameters
Amount: 24%
Tone Width: 20%

Curves
Shadows Input 49, Output 47
Highlights Input 203, Output 205

Hue/Saturation
Master Saturation: +8

It's not extremely different, but does bring more out. More could be done - it could be a bit brighter, for example, so Levels at 0, 1.04, 255 does some good after all that.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.
