We actually have such little stuff we are thinking about not hiring a mover, and renting a truck. There are a lot of day laborers around here that we could hire for the day much cheaper than a moving company.

I have never figured out why ANYONE would drink everclear. Talk about the worst liquid on the planet. guh. Well maybe sweet hard alcohol is worse but not by much.

We'll have to see if we can find that Melinda's selection locally.

I have two bottles here. I use it as a solvent and glass cleaner:lol: I had a bottle in the truck that I was cleaning the windows with. A young guy of barely drinking age was working for me and saw it when I dropped him off for the day. He BEGGED me for a hit off the bottle. I tried convincing him he did not want it but ultimately let him learn for himself. After a big swig off the bottle he spit half back out dribbling it down his front and started blubbering about it burning inside and out:lol:

SID! (I made that big so maybe he won't skip it)

I just saw this video (filmed on the 16th of this month) of the Sandy river. Amazing footage. I think I saw Riley (though maybe not) at the end when it's dark. It's really worth watching.

WOW! It looks like it was filmed with a DSLR doesn't it?

SUCKS sucks sucks.

*hug* Sorry Kit :(

I will go out on a limb, again(I can't stop me , and say this person sounds a bit unstable to do what she is doing. I know you guys take what you do to heart, That is so very understandable I have shed tears with you many times, it is also the fire and drive to make you guys work so hard. I just think becoming hysterical and falling to pieces to the point you described over the loss of a hi risk pup is a bit scary if that person has to be able to make rational decisions in the care of them. In a huge litter like that some are not meant not to live, that is okay. Death is a natural thing, nothing bad or horrific albeit sad. The way you described her wanting to keep two sounded like it was a subconscious need or want for her not something for the dogs. Sorry to sound like an ass. You know I love you and care about and respect your feelings.

I don't think you should have guilt or feel bad. you felt you were putting the pups in the care of an obviously devoted caretaker and giving them their best chance. You are not bad for that. k?

cfpackerfan wrote in post #11675355 (external link)
Sorry all, I wasn't going to burden you all with that. Apologies.

*hugs* thanks for listening though.

Never a burden, we are a family and your life is a big part of this thread.

So, at 4:30 I had a hankering for Goulash, Chili Mac, Slumgolien or what ever you might call it in your region. I haven't made this since Curtis J. was home prior to going to college. Thankfully I had everything here as my staples and fixed it up. It was every bit the comfort food I remember as a kid.

I dunno what any of those are:oops: I have heard of chili mac.

Springer Rescue called the shelter as soon as I got Boone's photos up. They are coming to get him. :)

Yay on the springer rescue coming.

Oh, John and Heather...
The groomers think he's Chow/Basset Hound.

He is so cute. Look at his tongue. From what I have been told is that if there are black spots, or his tongue is black then that is a sure way to tell the Chow. They are the only dog with the black tongue.

cfpackerfan wrote in post #11675728 (external link)
And we got Suzie from a Nevada shelter today. We got to keep her here for a few hours till her foster mom picked her up. :)
She's a 10 week old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix. Cute as can be.

awwwww she is adorable.

I though I saw a little gray color on his tongue in the second shot. Buddy has spots on his tongue. That's usually an indication of Chow...

cfpackerfan wrote in post #11675737 (external link)
I don't see the Chow at all. I just don't.
I think he looks like a Bearded Collie/Pot Belly pig.

That describes our Buddy... ;)

HEY! QUICK! EVERYONE! This is one of those unique moments in history when the planets are aligned just so, the solar activity is down, the North Pole and the Magnetic North Pole are in such a position that this will only happen ONCE IN OUR LIFETIMES! So Quick! Go get your camera, go outside and take a shot of the sky, facing South (doesn't matter your longitude), angle up about 30-40ยบ....

Oh, nevermind. Too late. Carry on.

I know if I showed this to my SIL it would be immediate love. If my brother wasn't in this battle right now, I'd be ever so tempted. Though even if the health were good, they probably wouldn't bite, it was very hard for them when they lost their last two. They love pets but hate the heart break when decisions must be made.

:lol::lol: Me too. Does his belly hang or is that all hair? Just wondering, you said he isn't overweight, but if his belly hangs how is that on his back?

Thanks Becky!! Fortunately where I work we get TONS of boxes from the work the clients do, so I am starting to store!! We are also making our list of what to do here before we are ready to rent it out...

Has Eli started packing?;)

Not packing, but designing his room!! He is so excited to have one to himself to determine what goes where. He wants to paint it blue and to have wall to wall carpet, and he wants a desk.

Not really. Technically, it will come about the same time as it did yesterday.
