It's becoming almost routine with us...

We're headed off to the Living Legends of Aviation event in Beverly Hills again tomorrow. I don't know who is attending this year, but last year I got shots of the likes of John Travolta, Tom Cuise, Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn, Morgan Freeman, etc. The year before Harrison Ford was an honoree and brought Calista Flockhart with him. I think Tom Hanks is supposed to be one of the presenters this year. The nice thing is that I'm one of maybe half a dozen shooters that get to shoot inside the event.

Kewlness! I could really care less one way or the other if I met any "stars". Would be fun I guess, but not to the point I want to put on a dress to see them. I hate wearing dresses.

And I get to go with him, and dress up. Then on Saturday and Sunday, I will be spending the day with some friends who have declared this weekend as spa days (and since it is my Christmas presents, I am not paying for the major things), so I won't be back on until Sunday afternoon

spa stuff sounds like good fun!

I went to the store then an old friend from my past called me from Moscow. We found each other on FB and briefly exchanged numbers but until she called I had no idea why she was in Moscow. I guess she married a foreign service guy. I do like it when I find someone awake as me to talk to at 3AM

Maybe you need to move to Russia to be on a 'normal' routine.

Anyhoo, off to the labour camps I go, back at the end of the work day.

Only thing Everclear is good for is spodys or to make the drink 'apple pie'. In either drink you can't taste the everclear and it hits you fast!!!!!

Recently I got to try some homemade liquid 'cherry pie.' It was DIVINE!!!!! The new years eve party I was at had everclear that had been made into apple pie (yummy), peach pie (eh~so-so) and cherry pie.... YUUUUUUMMMMY!!!!!! And YES that stuff hits you FAST!

My aunt has OCD. She has to clean her house in a certain order. Certain rooms first, the items in the room all in a certain order. If anything interupts her she has to start over. I can't even imagine! I have a hard time even cleaning my living area, mush less in a certain order.

Kewl!!!!:D

I'm apparently not got an OCD bone in my body... I have NO ability to remember the order of things like that! My great aunt (I never met her) reportedly was OCD... her's was an organizational thing... her clothes weren't allowed to touch each other in the drawers without something (like plastic or paper) between them.... I suppose that she could control... because my great-grandmother with whom she lived... stashed money all over the house! They found almost $5000 when they cleaned out her house... all cash... and all stashed in rolled up reciepts in tin cans, or envelopes in drawers... hehehehehe I guess it drove the OCD aunt to extremes in her own spaces!

Happy Birthday, Omar. Do something fun today.....mess up your office and take a picture of it with that great new lens!!

My dad's birthday also would fall right about now, but for some reason, I could never remember if it was Jan. 21 or 22. I decided to look him up on the internet, and found a genealogy site that listed him. He was born on Jan 22, and would have been 108 this year. (He made it to 98, and that ain't bad).

Anyway, They also show my mother, but with the wrong name. She grew up believing her name was Jessie Ruth, and that's what the genealogy chart showed. When she applied for a copy of her birth certificate, it turns out her real name was Ruth Lenore. Apparently her parents named her Ruth Lenore when she was born, but sometime after that, decided they liked Jessie Ruth better, and they just changed it without doing it officially. Either way, she grew up as Ruth, so it never mattered much.

I found another genealogy chart that mentions my mother, father, brother and sister, but not me. Hmmmmmm. Maybe I'm just a figment of my own imagination.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

speaking of being a figment of your own imagination...Eli woke up this morning and rushed out to hug me and announces "I really do exist" while patting his chest. His friend Doris told him at school yesterday she placed a magic spell that will have no boys existing on January 21st. I love my kid, but he is captain gullible and while he said 'I knew it wasn't really going to happen', he also didn't go to sleep until after 12 midnight...
