I found another genealogy chart that mentions my mother, father, brother and sister, but not me. Hmmmmmm. Maybe I'm just a figment of my own imagination.

 Maybe there's something they never told you...

speaking of being a figment of your own imagination...Eli woke up this morning and rushed out to hug me and announces "I really do exist" while patting his chest. His friend Doris told him at school yesterday she placed a magic spell that will have no boys existing on January 21st. I love my kid, but he is captain gullible and while he said 'I knew it wasn't really going to happen', he also didn't go to sleep until after 12 midnight...

I was just going to say that I bet she has a big crush on Eli.....That's the game at that age....the more you torment someone, the more you like them. All part of the learning process.

Nice and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

G'MAE all. -6º at the moment. Bax was very quick this morning.

Yuck. Fafa had a -15 degree reading in her car today too. It is a balmy (in comparison to your temps) 61 here right now.

Kewlness! I could really care less one way or the other if I met any "stars". Would be fun I guess, but not to the point I want to put on a dress to see them. I hate wearing dresses.

spa stuff sounds like good fun!

We wouldn't be going to this if they didn't comp us the tickets in turn for photography. Last year the tickets were worth $2600 for the both of us... It's a fun event and there's a lot of cool people there but we aren't celebrity obsessed like a lot of others. When Harrison Ford attended in 2009, the poor guy was hounded to death by the guests wanting their pictures taken with him. I'm more in awe of the aviation personalities than the Hollywood types.

... because my great-grandmother with whom she lived... stashed money all over the house! They found almost $5000 when they cleaned out her house... all cash... and all stashed in rolled up reciepts in tin cans, or envelopes in drawers... hehehehehe I guess it drove the OCD aunt to extremes in her own spaces!

From what I understand, this is a holdover from the Depression era (the '30's, not current). Because of the back situations back then, people put their money in the oddest places. This is where we get the "money in the mattress" or the money squirreled away "buried in tin cans out back". Lisa's Grandmother had money stashed in old greeting cards, sewing equipment boxes, etc.

Either way, it's cold where they are.
