Got a real shock recently......

BIL is in England again, and asked us to ship some meds to him. They have to be kept refrigerated, so we packed them in a Styrofoam box with some cold packs, and shipped them FedEx O'night.

The package weighted about 4.5 lbs., and cost $108 to ship.

I'm realizing too late, I was in the wrong business.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

You are so right Tom, get out of the drug dealing business as soon as you can. I watched an episode of "America's Toughest Prisons" last night and you would not last five minutes.

Happy Birthday, Omar. Do something fun today.....mess up your office and take a picture of it with that great new lens!!

My dad's birthday also would fall right about now, but for some reason, I could never remember if it was Jan. 21 or 22. I decided to look him up on the internet, and found a genealogy site that listed him. He was born on Jan 22, and would have been 108 this year. (He made it to 98, and that ain't bad).

Anyway, They also show my mother, but with the wrong name. She grew up believing her name was Jessie Ruth, and that's what the genealogy chart showed. When she applied for a copy of her birth certificate, it turns out her real name was Ruth Lenore. Apparently her parents named her Ruth Lenore when she was born, but sometime after that, decided they liked Jessie Ruth better, and they just changed it without doing it officially. Either way, she grew up as Ruth, so it never mattered much.

I found another genealogy chart that mentions my mother, father, brother and sister, but not me. Hmmmmmm. Maybe I'm just a figment of my own imagination.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everyone! Mayra had known for a while that i wanted to purchase this lens but havent gotten around to doing so. Great present :)

I have the day off and have just been relaxing with Mayra. I still dont know what the plans are since she is running the show. What i do know is that we are going to the movies for a 2pm showing. Then who knows after that :)

Chief thats an interesting story. i mix up my fathers and sisters birthday all the time. One is 7/6 and the other 7/9. I never know which is which  Interesting story tracing your family. I doubt it could be done my end though. Dominican Republic is the worst at keeping accurate records. Just refer to the age scandals in major league baseball with players from the country

All of the computers in the office where I work have three monitors.

speaking of being a figment of your own imagination...Eli woke up this morning and rushed out to hug me and announces "I really do exist" while patting his chest. His friend Doris told him at school yesterday she placed a magic spell that will have no boys existing on January 21st. I love my kid, but he is captain gullible and while he said 'I knew it wasn't really going to happen', he also didn't go to sleep until after 12 midnight...

Lois and I like to share the household duties. I do the kitchen and a few other things. She does the laundry, and most of the general cleaning. On Wednesday (our anniversary), we were chugging around doing things, and we stopped to hug for a couple seconds. Lois said, "I need a maid. You need a maid."

I responded, "We're maid for each other." Not my best pun ever, but it was relevant to the moment.

When we were newlyweds and almost as poor as we are now, we only had one car, so Lois would drop me off at work in the morning and pick me up at the end of the day. Our partings in the morning must have been quite a spectacle; the guys at work gave me the name "Tender Moments." It's nice to think that after all this time, we're still glad to see each other after being apart. Not everyone is that lucky.

Now, let's talk about this cat of ours.....
