I've always loved the Clydesdale commercials. Hated Budweiser...

Budweiser as a beer is ok, just nothing special about it to make it great. The horses are fantastic though.

Jeepers Crissa, it sounded like he might be getting better last night. I hope it breaks soon.

We thought so too, but perhaps his verbosity last night was due to fever, its been known to happen with him. The higher his fever goes the sillier he gets...

Budweiser, if you look at the ingredients, is a fermented rice beverage. Don't ever call it a beer.

GREAT (external link) interview RE: the swordfight

that was great. I spent a while last night watching the other segments. The one about the "cliffs of insanity" was really sweet.

It's the best Hunchback I've ever seen. SO well done. Great actors. Mandy Patinkin is phenomenal. Richard Harris and Salma Hayek are amazing as well. Truly great rendition of a fantastic story.

I've never even heard of this.

Morning everyone!!!

I'm getting buried in usual life back again... Which means less time to be around here :-(

I've had a nice weekend: movie yesterday, spent the day shooting old family photos (and I mean OLD!!! - 1920's and '30s, one or two probably older...) And now, I'm gonna clean the mess as I have friends over for dinner.

LTCM!!!!!! (let the cheese melt - yes, I'm making a fondue ;-)a)

Hi Didier!

GAAAAAAA!

And Frankie is coming back already. 6 hours. SIX HOURS is all they gave him. He peed on the floor TWICE.

Holy CRAP, what is it about COMMITMENT that people don't get??! !

GAAAAAAAAAAAA!

*deep breaths*

It's ok. I'd rather they give up after 6 hours, then after 6 months.
It's ok.
It's ok.

Stupid freaking people.

Stupid. freaking. people.

Becky N wrote in post #11740345 (external link)
haven't read it, nor seen the movie.

With early coming early, I need to get some sleep. Maybe I'll dream of Blue Suede Shoes.

Must see it! I never read the book but I love the movie, great players for the characters.

misspix wrote in post #11740371 (external link)
Becky!! You MUST read the Princess Bride! you MUST! Or, if reading is not your thing, watch the movie! You will not be sorry!

That^

Jim, I think netflix also has all the episodes of 'The Wire', a Showtime production. We found it interesting.

I want to see that. It is the show filmed in Baltimore, yes? I know how the police operate up there and a friend is a retired k-9 cop from up there so I have a little insight. People tell me it is good.

HUGE sleep last night, well over 7 hours. I guess my body needed it. Instead of waking up and jumping out of bed, I just laid there in a daze.

I got like 4 hours here

I thought it was me, I did have to hit the play button a couple times before it went all the way through.

hope Eli gets over whatever bug he has soon.

We measured, we went, we agreed...mostly...we survived, so far, and now we shall hang new window treatments.

The west wall of the living room has two regular windows flanking the double glass door that goes to the deck. Above is a half moon or circle window. We rearranged furniture a few weeks ago and to my dismay, discovered the wood floors have faded considerably this past year. So our anniversary gift to each other, window treatments. Though we did not get anything today for the 1/2 moon.

We raised Jinx and Zoe on our hardwood floors. We will just have to refinish them or sell as is when the time comes.

Becky, congrats on the window thingies...over here they are called blinds, curtains, drapes...lol. Window treatments sounds like a medical procedure to me  (sorry, not poking fun at you, just enjoying a bit of fun at some decorators expense who probably thought the terms 'blinds with a complimentary valance' were to vulgar and trailer like )

Also, I am under the influence of cold medication :-| Had to sleep on the couch in an upright position half the night. I am pissed.
