White Roman Shades and Cream colored Curtains. There was a color in the same curtain pattern that is close to the beige colored paint in that room and a very close matching color in the Roman Shades. That is what I wanted, Curt thought they were too dark. Actually more a medium color between white and brown.

I would love to see a photo... I need to hang new curtains and/or shades/blinds and am completely lacking any creative ideas  I am terrible with decor, left to my own devices we would be on beanbags with sheets for curtains  (well, maybe not sheets. maybe those cute patterned fleece blankies )

Malcolm is very very tired. I wonder if Parakeet has as much tryptophan as Turkey does?

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! and if so, is it concentrated??

cfpackerfan wrote in post #11744557 (external link)
It's a little nuts here right now.

Count with me...

Amikah, Luna, Ginger

Baylee and 9 puppies

Lizzie, Lady, Happy, Howie, Suzie, Malcolm, and Gracie.

5 Wonder pups: Artie, Hali, Andria, Zeus, and Rhod.

4 BIG pups: Archie, Reggie, Becky and Veronica.

How many is that??

LOL

29! A new record! WOO HOO!  *maniacal laughter*

HOLY CRAP!! LOL!

No kidding. I mean, really, those little birds are all bones and feathers with no meat. It couldn't have been all that much of a meal.

*snort*

Ok... off to have dinner at Marian's. :) Looking forward to it!

Catch you all later.

*puts birds away*

 That is a rather uncomfy position. Just sayin'. Not to mention a possible encroachment on my three foot bubble!

I happen to have a camera or two lying around. But right now the timer for dinner is being obnoxious. Time to add the veggies to the stew.

Malcolm the chihuahua was adopted yesterday.
They just returned him. On the phone, the guy would only say that there was an incident, and he'd talk to me when he got here.

I'm thinking 'oh crap, he bit a kid' or something horrid like that.

Nope.

Apparently, he was SO well behaved, and such a great little house dog, that they didn't feel the need to crate him or contain him in any way while they were at church this morning.

They also didn't see the need to cage their pet bird that free roams the house.

Yeah.

They got home from church to feathers everywhere, no bird, and a fat Malcolm.

I feel badly, the kids are heartbroken, but REALLY!? Who leaves a bird who can't fly out with a brand new adopted dog ALONE in a house for several hours??

cfpackerfan wrote in post #11744426 (external link)
I told him that of all the reasons I'd ever heard, that was a first.
I know that it's wrong, but I had to suppress my laughter when he told me. I'm sorry.. I feel awful for the kids, and for the poor bird, but the stupidity involved is just... funny, in an 'idiotic, "I can't believe you did that" sort of way.

Some people just aren't cut out to be pet owners...

I've been catching up on my family's Scottish history. There's quite a list of Clans I could never invite over for dinner.

We were baaaaaad kids.

How did they get along with the MacIntyre's?

That's a crazy story, Cat.

Just home from "The King's Speech." Really GREAT movie. I highly recommend it.

[profound relief] I'm always reluctant to recommend movies, so I'm always pleased when someone agrees with me. [/profound relief]

I know. I feel bad. First I find out that my ancestors nearly wiped out the Clan Sinclair in the 17th century and now I'm mocking the death of a bird which has the same mass as 1/15 of a Subway sandwich.

I think many of the surviving Sinclair ended up here. My buddy who's dad was a butcher and made great sausage, is a Sinclair. I know of a few other here. Not as many as those darned Campbell's though.

Our turn for severe winter weather. Suppose to start snowing tonight through Wednesday with accumulations of 12 inches or more. And temperatures dropping down to single digits for highs and below 0°F for lows.

On a photography note. Did some work with creating a template this afternoon with using one of Permie's as my learning tool. And she also sent me a Duo Tone action used for this set:

I like the idea, the images appear a little too blue for my taste.
