Evening everyone. Is it bad that I am already tired of construction and we are only at week 1 (they are saying 9 weeks - I am hoping for June the way they seem to work here - nothing against you Jimbear)?

taking the shrimp to the doc, three days of 101+ fever :(

Hope Eli gets better soon.

I thought it was me, I did have to hit the play button a couple times before it went all the way through.

CRISSA
hope Eli gets over whatever bug he has soon.

We measured, we went, we agreed...mostly...we survived, so far, and now we shall hang new window treatments.

The west wall of the living room has two regular windows flanking the double glass door that goes to the deck. Above is a half moon or circle window. We rearranged furniture a few weeks ago and to my dismay, discovered the wood floors have faded considerably this past year. So our anniversary gift to each other, window treatments. Though we did not get anything today for the 1/2 moon.

Sounds pretty, but we need photos.

misspix wrote in post #11743176 (external link)
I love that one :D

Becky, congrats on the window thingies...over here they are called blinds, curtains, drapes...lol. Window treatments sounds like a medical procedure to me  (sorry, not poking fun at you, just enjoying a bit of fun at some decorators expense who probably thought the terms 'blinds with a complimentary valance' were to vulgar and trailer like )

Also, I am under the influence of cold medication :-| Had to sleep on the couch in an upright position half the night. I am pissed.

I is sowwy Miss Terri, that I shared my sickies with you.

Back, just a virus. we were worried about strep but that was clear and they tested his blood for pneumonia!! but he's fine. If things haven't gotten better by Tuesday we go back, but I'm sure he'll be fine.

Our new place has original 4'' wooden parquet flooring, we will refinish as it isn't in bad shape at all. Since it is original to the building they actually have replacement tile there in the maintenance department that we can buy, then will refinish ourselves as Billy has done it many times.

Good that you have someone that is really handy with that kind of work.

Skrim17 wrote in post #11743771 (external link)
nope...we sign the contract tomorrow and submit our package to the board Wednesday, meet with them on the 17th and then close after then.

I am hoping to get in next weekend tho as Eli hasn't seen it yet and is very curious as to what his new room will look like. When I do, I will get pics!!

I am sure that he will love having his own room (at least after he gets use to it)

Skrim17 wrote in post #11744052 (external link)
gah!! Doc wanted him to use his albuterol puffer, got a new script, two puffs and now he's coughing so much the vomiting has started...

That does not sound too good. Hope he is feeling better now.

Malcolm the chihuahua was adopted yesterday.
They just returned him. On the phone, the guy would only say that there was an incident, and he'd talk to me when he got here.

I'm thinking 'oh crap, he bit a kid' or something horrid like that.

Nope.

Apparently, he was SO well behaved, and such a great little house dog, that they didn't feel the need to crate him or contain him in any way while they were at church this morning.

They also didn't see the need to cage their pet bird that free roams the house.

Yeah.

They got home from church to feathers everywhere, no bird, and a fat Malcolm.

I feel badly, the kids are heartbroken, but REALLY!? Who leaves a bird who can't fly out with a brand new adopted dog ALONE in a house for several hours??

Stupid people, although I do feel for the loss of their bird, but come on...

BearLeeAlive wrote in post #11744386 (external link)
I was just talking to a friend of mine, who's 4 yo son (Bennett) just told her she needed to lay another egg so he could have a little brother, and then they could get bunk beds.

LMAO

cfpackerfan wrote in post #11744557 (external link)
It's a little nuts here right now.

Count with me...

Amikah, Luna, Ginger

Baylee and 9 puppies

Lizzie, Lady, Happy, Howie, Suzie, Malcolm, and Gracie.

5 Wonder pups: Artie, Hali, Andria, Zeus, and Rhod.

4 BIG pups: Archie, Reggie, Becky and Veronica.

How many is that??

LOL

29! A new record! WOO HOO!  *maniacal laughter*

Cat is losing it here (I think we all need to show up at her place to play with the puppies)

Our turn for severe winter weather. Suppose to start snowing tonight through Wednesday with accumulations of 12 inches or more. And temperatures dropping down to single digits for highs and below 0°F for lows.

On a photography note. Did some work with creating a template this afternoon with using one of Permie's as my learning tool. And she also sent me a Duo Tone action used for this set:

QUOTED IMAGE

Good luck with the weather. I like the photos, but they seem a little too blue for me

Be back in a bit. Time to go sit in a hot bath and let the steam work on my sinuses.

Poor Malcolm. Can I pass this on to the other people in our PVPC Rescue committee?

So now they don't have a bird any more, why can't they keep Malcolm?
NRLOL!

Of course.

And that's what I asked! LOL! He said that his wife wasn't ready to forgive Malcolm.
The kids were in the car crying while dad was handing Malcolm over, saying 'now we don't have ANY pets!'.

 I'm sorry. I'm not laughing. Really.

It was only -22°C (-8°F for you that can't tell temps proper , but the windchill musta been quite high.

That explains what is wrong with you, your brain froze too many times.

Sorry for the nasty weather, Becky. Gahwoss.

I like the duo tone look, not fond of the blue hue. If it were part of a set, like a triptych, one reddish, one blueish, one greenish, one greyish, it would appeal to me more.

No worries, lol. That has NEVER worked for me. I used to envy the tiny girls and their tiny lil squeeks that they called sneezes, always three in a row, all dainty and fragile like. If I tried to control a sneeze, I would probably level my house !!

Don't you hate it when you see those dang things in your sleep?? GAH. G'night, Becky.
