Evening everyone. I am still at work, bored out of my mind. We have maybe 150 people on grounds, but I have to stay for a while longer

We just booked a wedding. No pressure, rehearsal tomorrow night, wedding Thursday night. *shrugs*

Seriously. Friends of ours, son is getting married. They weren't going to have a photographer as they are watching all expenses. The wedding is family only. His parents asked about using us and they would pay as a wedding gift. Their son was thrilled and mom and dad are happy to have more than snapshots of the ceremony. Then again they haven't seen a lot of our work. ;)

Cool. You and Curt will do a great job.

Looks like the event went well Crissa.

Becky, Little Miss Muffett is doing GREAT. Her breathing can still be a little raspy during hard play or hard sleep, but she's growing fast, and can hold her own with the big girls. She LOVES Bella.

Congratulations on your upcoming shoot! They will love what you can provide for them. I'm glad you're able to do it. :)

Loved all the moon shots! It was too cloudy here for us to see anything.

Apparently, St George is in a state of emergency with all the flooding. It's pretty bad. We don't live in one of the flood zones, but my prayers are with those who have been evacuated. I can't imagine families going through that right before Christmas. :(

Flooding near St. George Utah. This is the Virgin river flowing nearly 14,000 CFS this afternoon, which is about the same volume as the Colorado river.

No better time to pick up kayaking. That is major flooding Cat, the weather this year has been extreme as an understatement. Makes me ponder what the implications are.

It's not much better here. I'm watching one of the all-time great movie pairings: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers...

Who gets married the week before Christmas? Nice gift!

It's not just St. George... All of Southern California has been slammed by the rain and the forecasters are saying the worst is yet to come. We've already had one power failure, albeit brief, today and water has gotten into one of the outside circuits on our house and the breaker has tripped and won't reset. It isn't a necessary circuit, but it means we can't do laundry until things dry out.

Made national news

Fred and Ginger were great. IMO, second only to Fred Astaire and Elanor Powell... check out their tap routine (external link) set to the music of 'Begin the Beguine' in Broadway Meledy 1940.

Holy cat crap!  There sure wasn't anywhere near that amount of water last month when I drove over that!

Sounds like you got all the rain this area was supposed to get. Before my trip I was keeping an eye on the weather forecast and it was just nothing but 100% rain all week until Friday afternoon. Well, I got here on Monday and there was no rain. Just clouds. This morning, not even many clouds, and only a light sprinkle around 4pm for maybe two minutes. I just checked the forecast again and now it says sunny and partly cloudy for the rest of the week.

I'll take that... :D

Cat, your river reminds me of Willy Wonka's Chocolate River. Kinda creepy. How many have been evacuated? Do you have a lot of flood plains in your area?

Here's another rough for the Film Noir. You know, in case you were wondering.
