Up to this point, I've been using Canon's File Viewer Utility for converting my RAW files to TIFF or JPEG. Since a lot of you are using BreezeBrowser, I downloaded a trial version of it to see what it can do. I played around with it some but I still haven't figured out what advantage it has over Canon's supplied software. Can someone provide me with that answer since obviously I'm missing something.

Thanks.

For me, there are several advantages BB has over FVU, but the two biggest are the Smart Noise Reduction and the ease at creating web pages.

I did a lot of comparision between BB and YARC, as well as Adobe Camera Raw converter.

They all do a good job of converting RAW to TIFF, or other formats, but BB and YARC have noise reduction filters. Only BB, however, will also work on JPG formats.

I don't see a lot of advantage of RAW over JPG, so I shoot a lot of JPG. I can use BB and the Smart Noise Reduction on the JPGs and it does a fine job of reducing (not eliminating) ISO noise.

Just to really stir the pot, I'm using Firehand Ember for conversion and also as my primary graphics file viewer. Has various add-ons and a companion program, Lightning, so you only need to buy what you need.
