Would like some recommendations on some good PS CS5 books to help me learn how to use the program. Thanks for your time.

Scott Kellby has a CS5 book that I like.

It's not a Photoshop book for everything. It geared towards photography.

Martin Evening has a good thorough book out as well, after checking the Kelby book on Amazon just do an Amazon search for "martin evening photoshop" and you'll see his stuff.

But, you should know that these books are large and will take a lot of time to go through. Yes, I'd recommend them, but also consider some online tutorials -- they can get you up and running as you are wading through a large volume. Lynda.com is well regarded here for their Photoshop tutorials -- they have a subscription fee but you can se a free trial to see if it is worth it for you. And, for fun, you can also see a lot on YouTube -- watch people play with Photoshop for free:)!

Well, good.

Note that Lynda.com has a Photoshop "beginner series" that many people wade through during their trial period -- you might want to try it out.
