Ok i can pickup the following...

Canon 10D body in MINT condition with box/battery/charger/all orig software and strap UNUSED
Sigma 18-50mm Professional f2.8 constant aperture zoom lens TACK SHARP
Metz 54 mz-3 ettl pro flash with Canon module
2gb memory card

he wants $500... but i was thinking of offering $400 to see if he takes it..
I need a flash and could use the Sigma for the 2.8 vs my 18-55 IS... could then sell the 10d adn memory card...

do people do this where they buy a kit and keep a few parts?
would $400 be worth this?

I personally never bought a kit to keep a few parts unless I had buyers lined up for other parts already as I do not wish to deal with the headache of getting rid of the ones I don't want.

I haven't used the Sigma 18-50mm but I've heard AF issues.. half the time it's out of focus, hunts in low lights, etc.

If you really want the flash and the lens which I don't recommend, I would just offer something for those two only.
Personally, unless you can find a buyer who's willing to buy the 10D at a really great price, I wouldn't bother.. because if you can't sell the 10D (still a decent camera but far outdated in terms if digital photography), you just spent basically $400-500 on the lens and flash.

IMO, I would rather keep the 18-55 IS.. it's a very good lens considering its price.

If you need a f/2.8 lens and willing to spend ~$400, I would look at Tamron 17-50mm.

im gonna pass then.... ya never know when you can hit something worth it.... i know the 10d is old...
it is weird how some things will go for cheap and some expensive...
