Next week for a family event I will be taking family photos.

I will be using a white seamless background that is roughly 9 feet wide.

I have 4 strobes to light the shoot. I will be using the 2x Genesis 400ws as main and fill.

The shoot would be from a single person to a family of 6.

The main light diffuser will be a photoflex 5' medium octodome3.

I have 2 photoflex RUT 45" White Convertible umbrella and two litedome's softbox. A large(36"x48") and medium(24"x32").

I was thinking of using the two umbrella and 2x 250ws strobe to light the back ground and one of the softbox as the fill.

What do you guys recommend and what size softbox would you use as the fill.

The back ground do you recommend .5 or 1 stop over the main light.

Now the big family photo would be in the family room and I was thinking of using the 580ex and 2x 430ex. The strobes are too big to bring upstairs for the shoot or should I bring up two or 3. This will be about 30 people.

I have 6 phottix atlas triggers and will be using my 5D II and a D7000.

Thanks.
